宣 布事項 ANNOUNCEMENTS From the Computer Services Centre/Information Technology Service Unit (CSC//TSU): In spite of the smooth rollover to the new millennium, CSC/ITSU is still closely monitoring the operation of the centrally managed computer systems and networks. It has established a plan to tackle the rollover from 28th February to 29th February, and from 29th February to 1 St March 2000 一 the leap year rollover. CSC/ITSU will perform the following tasks as part of its contingency plan: • Full data backup will be performed for the centrally managed systems between 00:00 on 22nd February and 18:00 on 28th February 2000. In general, this implies that any data that users modify within this period will probably not be captured on the backup media. • Comprehensive systems/networks checkings will be performed during the following two periods: From 23:00 on 28th February to 03:00 on 29th February 2000 From 23:00 on 29th February to 03:00 1st March 2000 During the checkings, it is inevitable that some systems/networks may become unstable. Therefore, users should avoid scheduling important computing activities during the above periods. • No new centrally managed systems will be introduced from 21st February 2000 to 5th March 2000 inclusive in order to help isolate and resolve problems, if any should arise. • Professional and technical staff will not take normal leave between 28th February 2000 and 6th March 2000 to ensure CSC/ITSU has sufficient manpower to deal with any unforeseen problems. • Two direct telephone lines (2603 7804 and 2603 7854) will be made available for users to report problems and to enquire about the operational status of the centrally managed systems and networks from 23:00 on 28th February to 24:00 on 1st March 2000. Your Preparation Similar to the preparation for the Y2K rollover, users should establish a contingency plan for business functions. It is strongly recommended that users make a full backup copy of all their data by 28th February 2000. This is because problematic applications may damage the data over the leap year rollover, and this backup will be the best protection for the data should that happen. Please visit http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/y2k f or the latest information. 課室網絡 More Internet Access Points (ClassNet) 自一九九八年九月起，電算機服務處/資訊科技服務處在多個部門協助下，在校園 建立了課室網絡(ClassNet)，大部分講堂、課室和圖書館都設立了互聯網連結埠。部分 講堂更提供電腦，方便用戶登入課室網絡。加上其他的影音輔助器材及多媒體應用軟 件，課室的教學設備更臻完善。在今個學年，課室網絡更會延伸至書院及校本部的公眾 地方。 本校所有教職員及學生都可以登記成為課室網絡的用戶。要利用課室網絡進入互聯 網及校園網絡，員生必須有一台個人電腦，同時配備一張網絡卡及一條符合Category 5 的未屏蔽雙扭線（Unshielded Twisted Pairs Cable)。準備妥當後，到 http://www.cuhk.edu. hk/csc/network/classnet/register.html線上登記，三天內會收到電郵知會登記結果。如成 功登記，便可透過校園內任何課室網絡連結埠進入互聯網及校園網絡。 查詢登記詳情可 到http ://www .cuhk.edu.hk/csc/network/classnet/index.html。其 他查 詢，請到 http://helpdesk.csc.cuhk.edu.hk， 或電郵 classnet-help@cuhk.edu.hk。 Starting from September 1998, CSC/ITSU has been working with several departments to provide more Internet access points (ClassNet) on campus. These network outlets can be found in most lecture theatres, classrooms, and libraries. In this academic year, the connections are further extended to the public areas in the colleges and central campus. There are built-in computers in some of the lecture theatres, which, together with the audio- visual equipment and multimedia applications, can enhance teaching and learning. All CUHK staff and students are eligible to be a ClassNet user. To access ClassNet using your computer, you need to have a computer, an Ethernet network card and a Category 5 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pairs) network cable, and you need to register on-line at http:/ /www.cuhk.edu.hk/csc/network/classnet/register.html. After registration, you will receive an e-mail about your registration in three working days. If you have registered successfully on ClassNet, you can access the Internet and the Campus Network through any one of the ClassNet-ready ports. Please direct enquiries to CSC/ITSU Electronic HelpDesk at http:// helpdesk.csc.cuhk.edu.hk or e-mail c lassnet-help@cuhk.edu.hk. 中文大學出版社新書 《謝朓集逐字索引》 《齊竟陵王簫子良集逐字索引》 《謝朓集逐字索引》及《齊竟陵王蕭子 良集逐字索引》是中國文化研究所繼「先 秦兩漢古籍逐字索引叢刊」後另一製作 ——「魏晉南北朝古籍逐字索引叢刊」計劃 第一輯的第二及第三本書。「魏晉叢刊」 由劉殿爵教授、陳方正博士和何志華教授 主編，首三輯索引共二十四冊，主要為子 部及別集類文獻，第一輯第一本《謝靈運 集逐字索引》已於較早前出版。 《謝眺集逐字索引》共分七卷，按賦、 樂府、詩、文排列，卷七為「附錄」。全 書正文主要以《四部叢刊》本《謝宣城詩 集》和嚴可均《全上古三代秦漢三國六朝 文》為底本。《齊竟陵王蕭子良集逐字索 引》共分三卷，按詩、賦、文排列，卷三 為「附錄」。全書正文主要以丁福保《全漢 三國晉南北朝詩》和嚴可均《全上古三代 秦漢三國六朝文》為底本。二書並以逯欽 立《先秦漢魏晉南北朝詩》和張溥《漢魏六 朝百三家集》等版本互校。附有「增字、 刪字、誤字改正說明表」、「漢語拼音檢 字表」等，以方便讀者查閱。 《謝眺集逐字索引》全書共三百卅六 頁。國際統一書號 962-201-786-X ，精裝 本，三百八十港元。 《齊竟陵王蕭子良集逐字索引》全書 共三百五十二頁。國際統一書號 962-201- 789-4 ，精裝本，四百港元。 《明清儒學轉型探析——從劉蕺山 到戴東原》 此書是「香港中文大學青年學人論文 獎」得獎作品之一。該獎項用以獎勵每年 最傑出的博士論文，經專家學者評核推 薦，部分以專著形式出版。 明清之際儒學的發展變遷是近年學術 界關注的課題。此書探討中國學術的發 展，為何由宋明理學主張的「義理」，一 變而為清代乾隆以文獻考據為主流的曲折 過程；作者鄭宗義認為這與明末清初時期 儒學出現轉型有關。他以哲學思想史的方 法，仔細疏理明末清初儒學在義理之學方 面的變遷。 鄭宗義一九八七年中文大學哲學系畢 業，及後續獲碩士及哲學博士學位，專治 儒家哲學及中國近現代思想史。現職中大 哲學系助理教授。 國際統一書號962-201-826-2，平裝 本，二百八十八頁，九十五港元。 《香港稅務：法例與實施說明1 9 9 9 - 2000》 中文大學出版社於一九八一年出版 Hong Kong Taxation: Law & Practice ，並 且每年根據政府在該課稅年度新頒布的條 例及條文進行修訂，把有關的個案討論加 進書中；自一九八九年起，更出版中文版 《香港稅務：法例與實施說明》，以方便中 文讀者。此書自初版以來，深受歡迎，已 成為會計和財務專業人士、執業稅務顧 問、執業律師、工商界及一般納稅人必備 的參考書，亦為本港各大專院校的指定教 科書。 本年度的修訂版，繼續由David G.
