Vanhoutte will be delivering a lecture entitled 'From Gas to Intercellular Message: Nitric Oxide' from 4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. on 6th March 2001, in UCC1, United College. He w i ll also be delivering a lecture entitled 'Drug Discovery: The Ultimate Pharmacological Challenge' from 4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. on 8th March 2001, in UCC1, United College. A l l are welcome. For enquiries, please call 2609 7570. ITSC Training Programmes WebCT is a course tool that has been used by many teaching staff in their teaching. I f you plan to use this course tool but are unable to attend the WebCT training courses at the Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC), you can now learn it on-line at your own pace. Two on-line courses for learning WebCT are now available. The basic course gives you an overview of the tool, and the basic techniques in posting course materials and managing the course. The advanced course provides you with a valuable opportunity to enhance your WebCT course even i f you have little experience in desktop publishing. It gives you tips on designing your course banner, instructions for adding wallpaper, help for getting course statistics, and answers to your WebCT questions. There is also a demonstration video for each topic. I f you prefer to attend instructor-based training, don't miss the March-April workshops on MS Office and Photoshop. In this series, new features of Chinese Outlook 2000, Word 2000, and Excel 2000 are covered. In addition, ITSC continues to offer PowerPoint 97 and Excel 97 to meet your needs. The new Offi ce Skill Essent ials— Access 2000 workshop is included in the April schedule. For any enquiries, please contact ITSC Electronic Helpdesk at http://helpdesk.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk o r e-mail to learning-help@cuhk. edu.hk 預防肝炎運動 Hepatitis Awareness Campaign 保健處將於三月十五至二十三日舉辦預防肝炎運動，為教職員及其家屬和學生 檢驗肝炎抗原及抗體，並為有需要者注射疫苗。抽血檢驗於三月十五及十六日上午 九時至中午十二時半，以及下午二時至四時半在大學一苑(近何善衡工程學大樓)進 行，費用為一百元。 注射甲型肝炎疫苗(兩劑)每劑費用二百二十五元，乙型肝炎疫苗(三劑)每劑費 用七十元，混合甲乙型肝炎疫苗(三劑)每劑費用二百二十元，於三月二十二及二十 三日上午九時至中午十二時半，以及下午二時至四時半進行。 The University Health Service (UHS) will hold another Hepatitis Awareness Campaign in March 2001. Blood tests for markers of Hepatitis A and B Vims will be made available to all staff, dependants and students at a privileged price of $100 each on 15th and 16th March. Those who are shown to be in need of immunization may have themselves vaccinated in the UHS on 22nd and 23rd March i f they so desire at $225 per dose of Hepatitis A, requiring two doses, and $70 per dose of Hepatitis B or Twinrix-combined A and B at $220 per dose, both requiring three doses. A l l are welcome.
