A staf f nominated by the Universit y to tak e u p th e membershi p i s eligibl e t o us e th e club' s facilities includin g the function rooms, the sports facilitie s located a t th e Excelsio r Hotel , an d th e reciproca l arrangements tha t the club has made with the Grand Royal Club, the Shatin Race Course Private Box, and a number o f golf clubs . Full-time Terms (A) or equivalent staff members are invited to bid for the privilege of being the University's nomine e with effec t from 1s t July 2003 . The minimum bid, i.e. the monthly charge payable to the University, is HK$150 . In cas e o f identica l bids , preferenc e w i l l be give n t o staf f wit h longe r service . Membership, subjec t to the nominee remaining a full-time Terms (A ) o r equivalen t employee o f the University, has a minimum term of two year s and can be extended for anothe r yea r a t th e member' s reques t an d wit h th e University's agreement . The new membe r pays a transfer fee of HK$3,000 charge d by WTCC a s well as a monthly membership fe e o f HK$88 0 (coverin g o f spous e an d children between 1 6 and 21 years of age) . Th e transfer fee is refundable if the staff keeps his/her membership for over two years. No pro-rata refund will be made.
