訃告 Obituary 前任理學院院長及化學系教授柳愛華教授於二零零四年一月十五日辭 世，大學同人深表哀悼。 柳教授一九六八年加入崇基學院化學系任教，二零零三年八月一日榮 休。她於一九九四至二零零三年出任理學院院長，並以該身份出任大學 校董，一九八零至二零零三年擔任崇基學院院務委員，一九八六至九五 年出任崇基校董。 柳教授榮休後，仍出任化學系和中醫學院的兼任教授，以及崇基學院 資深導師，繼續支持大學的發展。大學師生深切懷念柳教授對高等教育 的熱忱和對中大的長期貢獻。 The Universit y record s wit h dee p sadnes s the passing awa y o f Prof . La u Oi Wah, former professo r i n the Department o f Chemistry an d former dea n of the Facult y o f Science , on 15t h January 2004 . Sh e was 63 . Prof. La u joined th e Departmen t o f Chemistr y o f Chun g Ch i Colleg e in 196 8 an d retired fro m Universit y servic e o n 1s t August 2003 . Durin g the period , sh e ha d serve d a s dea n o f th e Facult y o f Scienc e fo r thre e terms f ro m 199 4 t o 200 3 (an d i n tha t capacity , als o a s membe r o f th e University Council) , membe r o f th e Chun g Ch i Colleg e Assembl y o f Fellows fro m 198 0 to 2003 , and member o f the Chung Ch i Colleg e Boar d of Trustees fro m 198 6 t o 1995 . After he r retirement , Prof . La u continue d t o rende r he r servic e t o th e University a s adjunc t professo r i n th e Departmen t o f Chemistr y an d th e School of Chinese Medicine, and senior college tutor of Chung Chi College .
