中大通訊 CUHK Newsletter 4 第六十三屆大會典禮特別安排 Arrangements for the Sixty-third Congregation 大學第六十三屆大會（頒授學位典禮）將於十二月七日（星期四）上午十時正在林蔭大道舉 行，由大學校董會主席鄭維健博士主持頒授榮譽博士學位、高級學位及學士學位。 十二月七日下午由成員書院各自為所屬學士學位畢業生舉行畢業禮，詳情如下： 畢業典禮 主禮嘉賓 時間 地點 聯合書院 陳智思議員（行政會議成員兼香港社會服務 聯會主席） 下午十二時三十分至 二時三十分 邵逸夫堂 新亞書院 金耀基教授（香港中文大學前任校長兼社會學 榮休講座教授） 下午一時十五分至 二時四十五分 林蔭大道 崇基學院 陳玉樹教授（香港科技大學校長資深顧問） 下午二時至四時 崇基禮拜堂 逸夫書院 黃志光先生（ 運輸署署長） 下午三時三十分至五時 邵逸夫堂 碩士學位課程畢業典禮於十二月八日及九日在邵逸夫堂按學院分四節舉行，由研究院院長黃 永成教授主持。時間及地點如下： 碩士學位課程畢業典禮 主禮嘉賓 日期/時間 第一節 文學院 毛俊輝先生 （香港話劇團藝術總監） 十二月八日 上午十時至十一時三十分 第二節 醫學院及社會科學院 何宣威先生 （工商及科技局通訊及科技常任秘書長） 十二月八日 下午二時至三時三十分 第三節 教育學院及工程學院 楊寶坤先生 （英華書院校董暨香港基督教青年協會會長） 十二月九日 上午十時至十一時三十分 第四節 工商管理學院及理學院 楊敏德女士 （香港溢達集團董事長） 十二月九日 下午二時至三時三十分 交通 十二月七日典禮當日，范克廉樓、富爾敦樓、大學行政樓、中國文化研究所、田家炳樓及大 學圖書館等停車場，皆保留予嘉賓及公務車輛專用。 邵逸夫堂對面停車場暫停開放 邵逸夫堂對面之停車場將闢作畢業生座席，該停車場由十一月二十六日至十二月十日暫停開 放，以便蓋搭帳篷。 停課 十二月七日醫科一、二年級停課，全日制本科課程及研究院課程第一學期科目考試暫停。 范克廉樓部分餐廳暫停服務 范克廉樓學生餐廳於十二月七日由上午七時三十分至下午一時三十分暫停服務，以便安排典 禮後之茶會。 雨天程序 倘若十二月七日天氣非常惡劣、出現暴雨，大學將啟動雨天程序。屆時經正式公布後，第六 十三屆大會將改在邵逸夫堂舉行，並直播到校園內多個演講廳；新亞書院畢業典禮則改在新 亞書院體育館舉行，而其他在室內舉行的崇基學院、聯合書院和逸夫書院畢業典禮則不受影 響。詳情將在大學火車站及林蔭大道廣播，並在大學各校門出入口宣布。 The Sixty-third Congregation for the Conferment of Degrees will be held at 10:00 am on 7th December, 2006 at the University Mall. Dr. Edgar W.K. Cheng, Chairman of the University Council will confer honorary, higher and first degrees. The graduation ceremonies held by the four colleges for first degree graduates, will take place on the afternoon of 7th December, 2006 as follows: College Time Guest of Honour Venue United 12.30 – 2.30 p.m. The Hon. The ceremony will be presided over by Prof. Wing Shing Wong, Dean of the Graduate School. Temporary Closure of Car Park opposite to Sir Run Run Shaw Hall The car park opposite to Sir Run Run Shaw Hall, to be used as a seating area for graduates, will be temporarily closed from 26th November to 10th December for the erection of a canopy for the ceremony. Suspension of Classes Classes for Medical Years 1 and 2 and first-term course examinations for full-time undergraduate programmes and postgraduate programmes will be suspended on 7th December. Temporary Closure of BFC Canteen The Benjamin Franklin Centre student canteen will be closed on 7th December from 7.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Wet Weather Contingency In the very unlikely event of heavy rain on 7th December, the University will launch a wet weather contingency plan. The congregation will be moved to the Sir Run Run ShawHall and simultaneously broadcast to lecture theatres on campus. The graduation ceremony of New Asia College will take place in the New Asia Gymnasium, while the indoors ceremonies for Chung Chi, United and Shaw Colleges will not be affected. If a contingency plan is launched, details will be broadcast at the University Train Station and the University Mall, and also announced at the various entrances to the University. 副校長續任 Reappointment of Pro-Vice-Chancellor 鄭振耀教授再度獲委任為副校長，任期由二零零六年十月一日至二零零八年九月三十日。 Prof. Jack C.Y.
