A resident tutor is responsible for assisting the warden to manage hostel discipline and promote hostel life. The position offers free accommodation, excluding air-conditioning and telephone fee. For enquiries, please contact Miss Lai at 3158 2786. 訃告 Obituary 香港中文大學前校董高登爵士於二零零七年四月十一日在香港辭世,大學同人深表哀悼。高 登爵士於一九六三年出任中文大學臨時校董,一九六三至七二年間任中大校董,與中大淵源 深遠,曾任中大多個委員會之主席及委員職位,包括在一九六三年任教職員服務規則委員會 主席,一九六五年任教職員公積金基金受託人,一九六六年任校董會投資管理委員會和財務 委員會委員,一九六七年任校董會之薪酬檢討小組委員會主席,一九六七至六八年任嶺南工 商管理研究所委員會主席,以及一九八二至八八年任會計課程顧問委員會主席。高登爵士為 本港政商界知名人士,熱心教育,對香港中文大學和本地高等教育的發展貢獻極大。 The Chinese University of Hong Kong is deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Sidney Gordon, former University Council member, on 11 April 2007, in Hong Kong. Sir Sidney was a member of the University Provisional Council in 1963 and a member of the Univeristy Council from 1963 to 1972. He was profoundly committed to the University and served as chairman and member of various Univesity committees, including chairman of the Terms of Service Committee in 1963, trustee of the Staff Superannuation Fund in 1965, member of the council’s Investment Management Committee and Finance Committee in 1966, chairman of the council’s Salaries Review Committee in 1967, chairman of the Advisory Board to the Lingnan Institute of Business Administration from 1967 to 1968, and chairman of the Advisory Board on Accounting Studies from 1982 to 1988. Sir Sidney was a prominent figure in local political and business circles. And, as a dedicated supporter of education, he made enormous contributions to the development of the University and higher education in Hong Kong.
