Prof. Sian Griffiths, Professor of Public Health and director of the School of Public Health, has been appointed as an honorary professor of Guangzhou Medical University with effect from 16 March 2009. Prof. Chan Kay-sheung Paul, professor in the Department of Microbiology, has been appointed by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR as a member of the Advisory Council on Food and Environmental Hygiene for two years from 1 April 2009. Prof. Chan Yan-keung Thomas, professor in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology of the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, has been appointed by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR as a member of the Advisory Council on Food and Environmental Hygiene for two years from 1 April 2009. Prof. Suzanne C. Ho, Professor of Community and Family Medicine, has been re-appointed as a member of the Hospital Government Committee of Cheshire Home, Shatin for two years from 1 April 2009.
