1 978年7月7日創校校長李卓敏博士（ 台上右三 ）於 榮休之際，親身為以他命名的基本醫學大樓奠基。昔 日遠方觸目所及之處，馬鞍山人煙稀少；現從百萬大道雖 極目難見，但大家都知道彼岸已是高樓遍布，燈火通明。 O n 7 July 1978, Dr. Choh-Ming Li ( 3rd right , on stage ), the founding Vice-Chancellor of CUHK, laid the foundation stone for the University’s basic medical sciences building which upon his retirement was named after him. The building commanded views of hilly and sparsely populated Ma On Shan. Today, one can hardly see Ma On Shan from the same angle, but we all know it is littered with high-rise buildings and at night, ablaze with lights. 2013 1978 No. 415, 4.4.2013 7
