To promote nature conservation, Shaw College invited Prof. Pan Wenshi from Peking University to visit the college as a distinguished visiting scholar. During Prof. Pan's stay in Hong Kong, he delivered a public lecture and spoke at an assembly. Some 800 people attended the lecture and the assembly.
A photo exhibition was also arranged to showcase his work on nature conservation.
