Three teachers at the Faculty of Social Science were honoured with the Faculty's Exemplary Teaching Award on 3 February. They were Prof. Winnie Mak and Prof. Catherine McBride of the Department of Psychology, and Mr. Timothy Leung of the Department of Social Work.
The award presentation ceremony took place in LT1 of Esther Lee Building, with Mr. Fung Pak Yan, Deputy Director (Services) of the Social Welfare Department, and Prof. Ho Puay Peng, University Dean of Students, as the guests of honour.
Mr. Fung, an alumnus of the University, reminded the students of the importance of having a high level of responsibility and efficiency at work, and of being optimistic in times of adversity. He also encouraged the students to equip themselves for all sorts of challenges.
On the same occasion, Dean's List certificates were presented to undergraduate and postgraduate students of the faculty who achieved outstanding academic results.
