Organized by the Physical Education Unit of CUHK and the Hong Kong Professional Teachers' Union (HKPTU), the Hong Kong Teachers Tennis and Table Tennis Championships 2006 was held from 28 to 30 December 2006 at the University Sports Centre. With a total of 221 participants and a festive atmosphere, the event was regarded as one of the largest annual events in the education sector.
There were a total of eight events including men's singles, men's doubles, women's singles and women's doubles. The prize presentation ceremony was held at 4 p.m. on 30 December. After the speech given by the guests of honour Ms. Grace Chow, acting registrar, CUHK and Mr. Chik Pun-shing, vice-president, HKPTU, trophies were awarded to the winners. Mr. Lo Yuen-cheong, director of the Physical Education Unit and chairman of the organizing committee, then presented souvenirs to all the guests.
