A total of 132 students majoring in different subjects from 26 different universities in Hong Kong, Macau, mainland China, America and UK were invited to share their experience and to advocate environmental health issues.
The goal of the conference was to strengthen networks of young advocates and professionals in greater China and the US in improving environmental health in China. Dr. Linda Milan, director of the Building Healthy Communities and Populations of the World Health Organization, Western Pacific Region; Dr. Jennifer Holdaway, Social Science Research Council of US; Dr. Kerrie MacPherson, Kadoorie Institute of the University of Hong Kong were the keynote speakers on the first day.
