Mapping Your University Life

The Student Development Portfolio (SDP) is a University-wide electronic platform for recording and presenting students’ experiential learning activities (ELAs) under the I·CARE whole-person development framework. It also provides students with a catalogue of informal learning opportunities on offer and facilitates their planning of a fruitful university life. Some of the major functions that students can perform on the platform include:

  • Viewing ELAs offered by units across CUHK
  • Updating and maintaining participation records
  • Producing ELA reports and showcasing learning achievements

Meanwhile, University units can make use of the SDP to conduct enrolment in ELAs and generate basic statistics for future ELA planning. All full-time undergraduate students and representatives of the University units using the SDP can log on to the system with their student or staff ID and OnePass (CWEM) password. For more information, please visit this website.

In place of the face-to-face SDP briefing sessions at the Colleges, which are not possible this academic year due to the pandemic, the I‧CARE Centre for Whole-person Development has produced an animation to be played on University websites, social media platforms and digital display boards. It is hoped that it will introduce the concept of the SDP to all CUHK students, particularly freshmen. Undergraduate students are invited to answer two simple questions here after watching the clip. Those who get the answers right will receive an A5-sized canvas zipper bag while stocks last, with priority given to freshmen.
