The Department of Social Work held its first 'Exemplary Field Instruction Award Ceremony cum Agency Seminar' on June 6 to recognize and acknowledge dedication and excellence of its field instructors. Around 35 agency heads and representatives, five fieldwork supervisors, 18 staff members and 22 students attended the event. Prof. Isabella W.Y. Poon, director of Centre for Learning Enhancement and Research was invited to be the guest of honour. Prof. Marshall Fine, visiting professor of the department, delivered a talk to on 'Social Working: Practices That Make a Difference'. Ms. Chan Mei-lin and Ms. Cheung Man-sze were awarded the Exemplary Field Instruction Award 2012–13 for their outstanding field instructions.
