3D Printers Exhibition at University Library

The University Library held '3D Printers Exhibition@Learning Path' on 23 July at its Learning Garden. The exhibition was aimed at promoting the use of 3D printing and relating design concepts to everyday life. Eight local suppliers, as well as the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering (MAE), were invited to demonstrate their latest models of 3D printers.  The Department of MAE displayed the prototype of its resin 3D printer—Fast 3D Printer.  With more than 17 latest desktop and professional models of 3D printers on display, the exhibition attracted more than 200 visitors.

The Library also organized a sharing session entitled '3D Printing Service@Your Libraries', in which Prof. Charlie Wang from the Department of MAE, CUHK; Dr. Patrio Chiu, senior education development officer, the Office of Education Development and Gateway Education, the City University of Hong Kong; and Mr. Chris Leung, marketing director, the Dynamic Technologies Services Limited, shared their projects about applying 3D printing to research and general education courses.
