50   Chinese University Bulletin No. 1, 2009 Intellectual Cross-currents British Consul-General on Climate Change C UHK presented a public lecture by Mr. Andrew Seaton, the British Consul-General to Hong Kong and Macao on ‘Climate Change: Hong Kong’s Role in the Global Challenge’ on 20 October 2008 on campus. The lecture, one of the Consul-Generals/Diplomats Lecture Series organized by CUHK since 2005, attracted some 200 attendants. US Consul-General on Hong Kong’s Success M r. Joseph R. Donovan Jr., the Consul-General of the United States of America in Hong Kong, spoke on ‘Hong Kong’s Success is Important to the United States’ on 19 November 2008. Over 100 guests attended the lecture, including members of the political, business, and academic sectors, and foreign consuls.
