Review for award of academic titles 3rd October 2001 Extension of service beyond retirement date (teaching staff of Instructor grade and above) 13th October 2001 Staff development grants/ programmes (teaching staff and non-teaching staff on Terms of Service (A)/(HA) or equivalent contracts) 13th October 2001 Details of the staff development grants/ programmes will be announced in the next issue of the CUHK Newsletter. Details concerning the above are outlined in a general circular issued by the Personnel Office for dissemination to members of the teaching staff via department chairmen/unit heads. The circular and application forms are also obtainable from the website of the Personnel Office ( http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/personnel/). The schedule for staff review matters of non-teaching staff on Terms of Service (A), (B) and (C) will be announced in due course. TDU Moving and Renaming The Teaching Development Unit (TDU) has been modified to include educational research and the provision of teaching development services focused on student learning needs in the age of information. Given the modifications, the unit has been renamed the Centre for Learning Enhancement and Research (CLEAR) to reflect its new orientation. The centre has been relocated from Room 315-6, Ho Tim Building to Room 425, Esther Lee Building. 大學圖書館系統本學年開放時間 University Library System Opening Hours 由二零零一年九月一日起 From 1st September 2001 大學、崇基、新亞及聯合圖書館 University, Chung Chi, New Asia, and United Libraries 建築學圖書館 Architecture Library 星期一至五 Mon-Fri 8.20 a.m.-10.00 p.m. 9.00 a.m.—9.00 p.m. 星期六 Sat 8.20 a.m.-5.00 p.m. 9.00 a.m.-5.00 p.m. 星期日 Sun 1.00 p.m.-7.00 p.m. 停止開放 Closed 由二零零一年八月一日起 From 1st August 2001 醫學圖書館 Medical Library 星期一至五 Mon-Fri 8.30 a.m.-9.00 p.m. 星期六 Sat 9.00 a.m.-5.00 p.m. 星期日 Sun 停止開放 Closed 公眾假期及暑假之開放時間，請留意張貼於各圖書館入口之告示。 Opening hours for holidays including the summer vacation will be posted at the entrances of the libraries. 大學游泳池通吿 University Swimming Pool Notice •大學游泳池於九月三日至十一月三十日之開放時間為： 第一節：上午十時三十分至下午一時四十分 第二節：下午二時三十分至下午六時十五分 星期日及公眾假期照常開放。 •大學游泳池按慣例於中秋節（十月一日）提前於下午五時關閉。 •游泳池第一至第三水線於九月十日至十一月廿八日（十月一日除外），逢週一及 週三下午三時三十分至下午五時五十分，專供體育運動科學系作「教育學士學 位課程」之用。 •游泳池於九月二十五至二十八日及十月五日暫停開放，供書院及大學水運會之 用。 •游泳池淺水區於九月三至二十四日及十月三日至十一月二日（十月五及二十五日 除外），逢週一至週五供體育部作「體育游泳班」之用。專用時間為： 星期一 上午九時至下午三時 星期二 上午九時至下午四時十分 星期三 上午九時至下午三時 星期四 上午九時至下午四時十分 星期五 上午九時至十一時二十分 •游泳池第一及第二水線於九月八日至十月二十日（十月六日除外），逢週六上午 十時三十分至中午十二時三十分，專供大學泳隊及院隊訓練之用。 • From 3rd September to 30th November 2001, the opening hours of the University swimming pool wi ll be as follows: 1st session: 10.30 a.m. to 1.40 p.m. 2nd session: 2.30 p.m. to 6.15 p.m. (The pool is open seven days a week including public holidays.) • As in the previous years, the University swimming pool will be closed earlier at 5.00 p.m. on 1st October 2001 for the Mid-Autumn Festival. • The first, second, and third lanes of the pool will be reserved for the Full-time Bachelor of Education Programme organized by the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education from 3.30 p.m. to 5.50 p.m. on all Mondays from September to November (inclusive), except 3rd September and 1st October, and all Wednesdays from September to November (inclusive), except 5th September. • The pool will be reserved for the whole day for University and college swimming galas from 25th to 28th September and 5th October 2001. • The shallow end of the pool will be reserved for RE. swimming classes organized by the Physical Education Unit on all weekdays from 3rd to 24th September and from 3rd October to 2nd November, except 5th and 25th October, according
