Fee rebate has not been reflected. # 少於 0.005% Less than 0.005% 辦理延長工作簽證 Visa Extension 大學同人若沒有香港居留權，請留意本身的香港工作簽證期限，並須於逗留期限 屆滿前四星期內，向政府有關部門申請延長簽證。申請時須提供的大學在職證明，可 聯絡人事處(二六零九七三三二/七二七二/七二九二)索取。 同人可於網上 ( http://www.esd.gov.hk) 預約，到入境事務處分區辦事處辦理申請手 續，惟不適用於必須在入境處總部遞交申請者。 Staff members who do not hold the right of abode in Hong Kong are reminded to check the validity of their employment visas. They should arrange to renew their employment visas within four weeks prior to the expiry date. Application for extension of employment visa requires a sponsorship letter from the University to certify the staff member's employment status. Staff members may approach the Personnel Office (Tel: 2609 7332/7272/7292) for the said sponsorship letter. Staff members can make an appointment for visa extension via the internet www.esd. gov.hk to save the need for queuing at the branch offices of the Immigration Department. This service is not available to those required to file their applications in the Immigration Department's headquarters. 大學游泳池延長開放時間 University Swimming Pool Notice 大學游泳池於假日照常開放，並由本月七日(星期一)起延長開放時間如下： 第一節：上午八時至十時四十五分 第二節：上午十一時三十分至下午一時四十分 第三節：下午三時十五分至四時四十五分 第四節：下午五時三十分至晚上九時 With effect from 7th June 2004 (Monday), the daily opening hours (including public holidays) of the University Swimming Pool will be extended as follows: 1st session : 8.00 a.m. —10.45 a.m. 2nd session : 11.30 a.m. —1.40 p.m. 3rd session : 3.15 p.m. - 4.45 p.m. 4th session : 5.30 p.m. - 9.00 p.m. 教職員及其配偶普通話及粵語課程 Putonghua and Cantonese Courses for CU Staff and Staff Spouses 新雅中國語文研習所定期為本校教職員及其配偶舉辦普通話及粵語課程，二零零 四年第三期的開班詳情如下： 課程： 1.供外籍教職員及其配偶選修之初級普通話課程。 2. 供外籍教職員及其配偶選修之初級粤語課程。 3. 供粤籍教職員及其配偶選修之初級普通話課程。 4. 供非粵籍教職員及其配偶選修之初級粵語課程。 日期： A 班：二零零四年七月六日至九月九日(逢星期二、四)（四十節） B 班：二零零四年七月七日至九月十日（逢星期三、五)（四十節） 時間：下午六時三十分至至八時二十分(兩節） 地 點 ： 許 讓 成 樓 以上課程每班限額八人，少於六人不 開班，按報名先後取錄。學費全期五千二 百港元，凡聘任期不少於兩年之本校全職 教職員及其配偶而未獲任何語言修習資助者，可獲大學津貼學費四成。有意就學者請 於二零零四年六月二十五日前與該所聯絡(電話二六零九六七三一）。 The New Asia—Yale-in-China Chinese Language Centre offers Putonghua and Cantonese Courses to the University staff and staff spouses on a regular basis. The following courses have been scheduled as follows: Course Title: 1. Beginner's course in Putonghua for non-Chinese speakers. 2. Beginner's course in Cantonese for non-Chinese speakers. 3. Beginner's course in Putonghua for speakers of other Chinese dialects. 4. Beginner's course in Cantonese for speakers of other Chinese dialects. Duration: Class A: 6th July to 9th September 2004; 40 sessions Every Tuesday and Thursday Class B: 7th July to 10th September 2004; 40 sessions Every Wednesday and Friday Time: 6.30 p.m. to 8.20 p.m. (two sessions each) Venue: Hui Yeung Shing Building The size of each class will be limited to eight students. The minimum number of students to form a class is six. Enrolment will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Basic tuition fee for each course is HK$5,200. The University will subsidize 40 per cent of the tuition fee for all full-time academic and administrative staff, as well as their spouses, who are expected to be with the University for at least two years, and who are not receiving a language study subsidy from any other source.
