The third International Conference on Travel Writings in Chinese was held from 10 to 12 December 2011. Close to a hundred scholars and renowned writers across the straits attended. Holding every two years, the conference was co-organized by United College, CUHK; Ming Pao Monthly; Art Faculty of Jinan University; and Development and Reform Research Institute of South China University of Technology. It was the first time for the conference to be held across the border, while the opening ceremony was held in CUHK, panel discussions were held in Jinan University and the closing ceremony in South China University of Technology. Such arrangement well fulfilled the theme of the Conference—Pleasure in Wandering.
