The first CUHK International Symposium on Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine was successfully held on 6 December 2011. This Symposium was jointly organized by the Stem Cell and Regeneration Program of the School of Biomedical Sciences, the Center for Stem Cell and Regeneration, CUHK, Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Sports Medicine and Health Sciences Centre and the Key Laboratory for Regenerative Medicine (The Chinese University of Hong Kong – Jinan University).

This event not only showcased the commitment and concerted efforts of basic scientists and clinicians in promoting stem cell research and the development of regenerative medicine, but also allowed the participants to benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experience as shared by the multidisciplinary faculty of experts and speakers.
