第322期 2008年9月4日 No. 322 4 September 2008 O 深圳科技顧問 劉應力論中國科技發展 Shenzhen IT Advisor on China’s Hi-Technology Development 續任副校長 Reappointment of Pro-Vice-Chancellor 程伯中教授再度獲委任為大學副校長，任期兩年，由 2008年8月1日起生效。 Prof. Ching Pak-chung has been reappointed as Pro-Vice- Chancellor of the University for a period of two years from 1 August 2008. 新任講座教授 Professorial Appointments 大學委任鄔楓教授為法律學講座教授，由2008年8月1日 起生效。 鄔楓教授先後於1 9 9 0年及1 9 9 7年在德國Pa s s a u University取得兩個法律哲學博士學位，專研國際商業 法、中國投資法及比較法。他曾於德國及香港執業，並 在兩地教授法律。鄔楓教授於2005年加入中文大學，任 法律學院教授。 Prof. Lutz-Christian Wolff has been appointed Professor of Law with effect from 1 August 2008. Prof. Wolff received his first and second PhDs from Passau University, Germany in 1990 and 1997 respectively. He specializes in international business law, Chinese investment law and comparative law and has practised and taught law in Germany and Hong Kong. Prof. Wolff joined CUHK in 2005 as Professor. 大學委任余卓文教授為內科及藥物治療學講座教授，由 2008年8月1日起生效。 余教授於香港中文大學修讀醫學，1990年獲內外全科醫 學士，1999年獲中大頒授醫學博士學位。其後，分別於 2002年及2006年取得英國愛丁堡皇家內科醫學院院士及 英國倫敦皇家內科醫學院院士。 余教授於2002年加入中文大學，任內科及藥物治療學系 副教授，2005年起任該系心臟科主任，並於2007年起任 心腦血管醫學研究所所長（臨床醫學）。　 Prof. Yu Cheuk-man has been appointed Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics with effect from 1 August 2008. Prof. Yu received an MB ChB and MD from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1990 and 1999 respectively. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2002 and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 2006. Prof. Yu joined CUHK in 2002 as associate professor in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics. He then served as the head of the Division of Cardiology of the department in 2005. In 2007, Prof. Yu was appointed as the director (clinical) of the Institute of Vascular Medicine, CUHK. 深 圳市市長科技顧問劉應力教授於8月4日在中大校 園主持講座，中大校長劉遵義教授同時頒授工程 學院榮譽教授銜予劉教授。出席嘉賓近二百名，包括本 港及內地資訊科技界人士。 講座題為「從深圳看中國高科技發展與挑戰」，劉教授 總結出深圳高科技發展的四個特點：一、高新技術產業 已成為深圳的第一支柱產業；二、自主創新已成為深圳 高新技術產業的主要特徵；三、企業已成為深圳自主創 新的主體；四、深圳已經形成了自主創新的環境。他還 分析深圳高科技產業所面臨的階段性、結構性、資源性 和原創性四大挑戰，指出對深圳的研究有助深入了解中 國高科技發展態勢。 劉校長說：「我相信憑藉劉教授的淵博學識、豐富經驗 和廣泛聯繫，中大必定能夠為深港創新圈、珠三角地區 以至全中國的科技和經濟發展貢獻更多。」 劉應力教授為香港特別行政區創新技術委員會與內地合 作委員會委員、中國科技開發院院長、中國科學院深圳 先進技術研究院（與中國科學院、香港中文大學合作） 領導小組副組長。他負責不少深港合作工作，其中包括 深港跨境大型基建項目協調領導小組組長，以及港深西 部通道工程建設領導小組組長兼總指揮等。 P rof. Liu Yingli, science and technology advisor to the mayor of Shenzhen, paid a visit to CUHK and delivered a talk entitled ‘China’s Hi-Technology Development and Challenges: A Shenzhen Perspective’ on 4 August. On the same occasion, he was conferred the title of honorary professor of the Faculty of Engineering by Prof. Lawrence J. Lau, CUHK Vice-Chancellor. About 200 mainland and local participants from the IT sector were in attendance. During the talk, Prof. Liu summarized four characteristics of the hi-technology development of Shenzhen: 1. The hi-technology industry has become the first pillar industry of Shenzhen; 2. self-innovation has become the key feature of the hi-technology industry; 3. enterprises have become the main bodies of self-innovation in Shenzhen; and 4. an environment of self-innovation has taken shape in Shenzhen. Prof. Liu then pointed out the four challenges faced by the hi-technology industry: challenges in different phrases and structures and challenges in terms of resources and innovation. Close observation of hi-technology development in Shenzhen may improve understanding of the development of the industry in the whole of China. Prof. Lawrence J. Lau complimented Prof. Liu on his thorough knowledge, unrivalled experience and extensive connections. He said, ‘I believe, with Prof. Liu’s expertise, CUHK will continue to contribute to the Shenzhen–Hong Kong Innovation Circle, the Pearl River Delta Region and China in technology and economic growth'. Prof. Liu is a member of the Hong Kong SAR–Mainland Collaboration Committee, president of the China Academy of Science and Technology Development, vice-leader of the leading group of the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (a joint project between CUHK and the Chinese Academy of Sciences).
