The 5th Hong Kong International Model United Nations (HKIMUN) was held from 3rd to 6th August at the University. The event was jointly organized by the Hong Kong International Model Untied Nations Association and the Centre for University and School Partnership of The Chinese University.
During the four-day conference, some 250 local students and 25 non-local students played the role of delegates from different countries. Representing the interests of their own countries, the delegates debated on various international issues in the context of achieving world peace.
Through this popular event, students learnt the operation of the United Nations, improve English debating skills and increase knowledge of world affairs.
