The Centre for Institutions and Governance and the School of Accountancy of CUHK organized the second research incubator camp with the sponsorship of the Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) on 24 and 25 November 2006 on SNAI campus. The main objective of the research incubator was to strengthen our collaboration with top mainland research universities, promote high quality corporate governance research in China and provide a venue for aspiring mainland young scholars to network, showcase their work and receive constructive comments from each other and overseas experts. The two-day conference attracted nearly 70 participants, including department heads, young research faculty and PhD students from Fudan University, Nanjing University, Nankai University, Peking University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Sun Yat-Sen University, Tsinghua University, Xia Men University, Xi'an Jiao Tong University. Prof. Chen Qi from Duke University, Prof. Jin Li from Harvard University, Prof. Li Kai from the University of British Columbia, Prof. Liu Jing from UCLA, and Prof. Zhu Ning from the UC Davis presented their work.
