Conference on Social Welfare Policies in Chinese Societies

The International Conference on Social Welfare Policies in Chinese Societies was held at CUHK on 4 and 5 September 2012. This conference was organized by the CUHK-Nankai Joint Research Center for Social Policy and Social Policy Research Center of National Taiwan University, in association with Chung Chi College, Department of Social Work of CUHK, Department of Social Work and Social Policy, Nankai University and Department of Social Work, National Taiwan University.

Close to 60 scholars from mainland China, Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong and other Chinese societies presented their latest research results in areas such as child, youth and family policy, poverty, social security, employment, social care, migrants, elderly and disability. The conference attracted over 200 local and overseas participants from different organizations, teachers and students from different universities.
