The Graduate Division of the Department of Social Work and the CUHK-Nankai Joint Research Center of Social Policy jointly organized the Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong Postgraduate Research Symposium with the theme ‘Social Welfare in Chinese Societies: Research, Policy and Practice’ on 26 and 27 May. Twenty-five postgraduate students coming from 15 universities attended the symposium to give presentations on their research findings.

The symposium was aimed at providing these young scholars with a platform for academic exchange. It was also a good chance for them to get to know each other and expand their personal and academic connections for future research collaboration.
