Located on a hillside on the central campus of CUHK, the Centralized Science Laboratories Building houses over 70 world-class and state-of-the-art laboratories. This landmark of the University won the 2006 Hong Kong Institute of Architects Merit Award—Community Building Category for its superior architectural design. In the naming ceremony held on 4 July, the building was officially named after Dr. Run Run Shaw as the Run Run Shaw Science Building to signify Dr. Shaw’s tremendous contribution to education and scientific research.
