Funded by Mr. Liu Shang Chien and Mr. Chan Chi Sun, trustees of New Asia College, and co-organized by New Asia College and Beijing Oriental Morality Institute, the 6th Seminar on Moral Education was held in New Asia College from 4 to 12 July 2007. Beijing Oriental Morality Institute has organized various activities on moral education in mainland China over the past years.
A total of 50 participants from across the country came to Hong Kong on 4 July and the seminar was kicked off on the following day. In addition to attending various academic talks relating to the main theme, the participants visited the Independent Commission Against Corruption, local primary and secondary schools during their stay in Hong Kong. To facilitate the exchange of views and ideas between Hong Kong and mainland educators, a discussion forum and a number of talks open to local teachers were held.
